This site is a tribute to Aaron Michael Govern, who sadly passed away peacefully on Tuesday 28th April 2020 after a long heroic brave fight with cancer these past two years.


Aaron, the love of my life, my soulmate was a wonderful husband, a kind and caring father to sons Thomas and James. Father-in-Law to Ellen and much loved Son of Anna and Mike will be dearly missed but his memory will live on in all of us forever.


Aaron charisma shone through, with all those he met. Aaron had many friends, some since school others developed through his love of music, most sports but especially motorsport and horse racing. These friends spanned the UK and indeed the world as his passions took him to many countries. They remember him as a loving family man, a loyal friend, who was articulate and who also possessed a wicked sense of humour. In recent time Aaron found strength and support from helping to reconnect many of these friends as a community once again, something they will always be grateful for. Aaron will be sorely missed but in his memory continues to live on.


Due to these unprecedented times with this global pandemic, this will restrict the way we get to say our usual goodbyes. We would ask therefore that you share your messages of condolences, love and stories of times shared with Aaron and will take comfort from this memory page. 


Aaron’s funeral is yet to be finalised.  Due to COVID restrictions will be only for 6 of his immediate family sadly.  Details will follow shortly.


We are looking to hold a Celebration of his Life later in the year for all his Family/Friends to join us when safe to do so and are anticipating this to be around October/November time.  We will update this page and will be guided by Government guidance as to how quickly this can occur.


We would kindly ask for family flowers only on the day of his funeral.  Donations can be left in his memory for Aaron’s chosen charity, Myton Hospice on the link on the side of this page.
